Clarion has been showing off their new “Mobile Internet Navigation Device” (yet another friggin’ acronym) or MiND at Computex this week. This looks to us like a MID “Mobile Internet Device” but it comes with GPS capabilities and gives prospective consumers a choice of several colors scheme.

This device has a 5.2” WVGA 800 x 480 touchscreen display, based on Linux OS (at least in the demoed version), with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Reports are you can get this for around the $700 price range which in our opinion is a little steep if one is only looking for a MID type device, however this also allows for multimedia and office type applications.
Clarion is also planning for a “Pro” version of this to sport a 3G WWAN, however, no details on pricing as yet.
